We’re on Twitter as CriticalSkills1 (which makes me wonder who the heck “CriticalSkills” is, but I digress), and this came through from the fine folks at Edutopia today: Today is National Hugging Day. Does hugging have a place in America’s schools?
So this now has me wondering- what role does “touch” play in your work? Do you avoid it at all costs? Bemoan it’s loss in your day-to-day experience? Ignore the rules and hug away? Can we build community without touch, or is it so inherently a part of who we are that we just can’t do without it?
Let me know what you think- either here or on Twitter!
