Well, actually egg burritos and fruit, but you get the idea. It’s a lovely morning here in Georgetown (hot as the surface of the sun, but lovely) and I enjoyed a short walk around the campus first thing. Not a bad way to start the day!
Yesterday afternoon had the atmosphere of a pep rally/ induction ceremony, but I suspect that today is going to be the heavy lifting portion of the training. Our agenda for the morning looks like this:
9:30 – 10:30 am P21 Framework
10:30 – 11:30 am P21 Support Systems
11:30 – 12:30 pm Guest Speaker
Dr. Chris Corallo, Henrico County
Director of Professional Development
Gotta love that 9:30 start. Stay tuned!

Thanks for blogging and keeping us in the loop. I am very interested in what you said about the process vs content discussion and how that is being interpretted. Did you say there is “unwillingness” to discuss this? If that is the case, what is their view of this eternal debate among education? In the arts, process and content are difficult to separate in so much as the arts are about knowing and doing. We debate “do we learn by the doing and then the knowing comes, or what do we need to know so that we can do, or do the knowing and doing support each other by the doing?” Okay-not enough eggs and bacey for me today, but keep it coming when you can, dear colleague. Marcia
Hi Marcia-
I think the unwillingness part is about refusing to get into a food fight related to a false dichotomy. It’s not process vs. content, as you say, it’s process via content via process via content in perpetuity. The eternal loop, you know?
